Call for Applications: Education Technology in Higher Education Conferences Grant
The United Board for Christian Higher Education in Asia invites applications for the Education Technology in Higher Education Conferences Grant, an initiative designed to support faculty members from United Board network institutions to attend and present at major education technology conferences in higher education.
This grant aims to enhance faculty professional development, encourage knowledge exchange, and strengthen collaboration among educators advancing digital transformation in teaching, learning, and institutional practice.
Grant Details
Covers up to 80% of total eligible expenses, up to USD 1,200 per person
The remaining 20% must be supported by the faculty member’s home institution
Supports in-person conference attendance only (virtual participation is not eligible)
Up to two faculty members per institution per year
A total of 10 grants are available for the 2026–2027 cycle
Eligibility
Applicants must:
Have a research paper accepted for presentation at a relevant higher education or educational technology conference
Be faculty members from institutions within the United Board network

Evidence of acceptance for presentation
Detailed budget and institutional confirmation letter (confirming support for the remaining 20% of costs)
Statement outlining the professional and institutional benefits of conference participation
Application Timeline
Application Period: 12 June 2026 – 30 May 2027
Eligible Conference Dates: 1 July 2026 – 30 June 2027
Selection Process: Within 1–2 weeks after submission
Reimbursement: Within 60 days after conference participation
Covered Expenses Include
Conference registration fees
Travel (economy airfare and ground transportation)
Accommodation
Through this grant, the United Board seeks to empower educators to showcase their innovations, connect with global peers, and advance the integration of technology in higher education across Asia.
As applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, grants will be awarded to applicants who submit a complete application and demonstrate strong alignment with the grant guidelines and eligibility requirements. Faculty members are encouraged to apply early once their paper has been accepted, as funding is limited and available on a first-qualified basis.
